Respiratory: In ayurvedic respiratory disease is considered as swasa roga. Aggravated and vitiated kapha vata accumulates in upper respiratory tract, lungs, sinuses, leading to several respiratory disorders.
Causes:
If we consume dry rough food, excessive intake of cold or hot food, kapha increase food, unctuous, oily food, and raw milk. Getting exposure to dust, smoke, tobacco.
Residing in cold place, over exercise, suppression of natural urges, day sleep, and excessive heat. And other causes are like ama disorders, weakness, upwards movement of flatus.
Some of the respiratory disorders:
Common allergy: these are caused due to smoke, dust some strong chemical.
You complain of sneezing, itching, obstruction of nose these may lead to imbalance of vata or pitta or kapha
Vata allergies: sneezing, headache, tinnitus, insomnia.
Pitta allergies: rashes, urticaria, allergy dermatitis, predominate in summer season.
Kapha allergies: cough, sinus infection, cold, congestion, asthma
Some of the respiratory disorders
Common cold/flu: running nose, cough, headache, fever, loss appeptite, chills.
COPD, or chronic obstructive pulmonary (lung) disease, is a progressive disease that makes it hard to breathe. COPD can cause coughing that produces large amounts of mucus (a slimy substance), wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and other symptoms.
Sinusitis or rhinosinusitis is inflammation of the para-nasal sinuses. It can be due to infection, allergy, or autoimmune issues. Most cases are due to a viral infection and resolve over the course of 10 days. Drainage of a thick, yellow or greenish discharge from the nose or down the back of the throat , Nasal obstruction or congestion, causing difficulty breathing through your nose , Pain, tenderness and swelling around your eyes, cheeks, nose or forehead , Reduced sense of smell and taste
Asthma is a chronic disease causing inflammation and occasional obstruction of the airways. Such as wheezing, coughing chest tightness, and shortness of breath Increases kapha in entire body, cold, congestion, hay fever.
